If it is like during the beta4:
1. start the launcher on the PS3
2. Login to your SE account
3. Choose the service account you want to use with your PSN account
4. gratulation, your FF XIV service account and your PSN account are now linked together
I think that was only during the beta phases.
I think the PS3 early access code is linked to your PSN account and not your service account. So when you link the PSN account with a service account they are locked to each other, or so I assume. No clue how PS3 retail codes will work (If it's a PSN code or an SE code).
Kind of weird as I read somewhere that you are supposed to be able to link as many service accounts as you want to your PSN account.
I can't download the patch it seems. When I log in it says that I don't have service or a validation -_-
Can confirm I just linked my preorder stuff to my phase 4 character account and I'm not legacy
Yep I also linked my accounts earlier today, very smooth.
Anyone perhaps know if we have access to login via the PC for Early Access now our accounts are linked? When I try it says no valid service account via the PC launcher.
Thanks for the heads up, I was able to link my PS3 early access client to my legacy 1.0 account without problem.
The PS3 client is now updating with a 1827mb patch :)
account linked to my ps3 as well squeeeeeeeee
Bit worried cause I just linked the pre-order items to a new service account. Basically I went to link the 2 and it showed the character I created while NA/EU servers were down so I went to create new to see if it would list my levelled character, pressed next thinking it wouldn't end the process and it created a new service account. I don't mind about the items cause I didn't really care for them anyway however I do want to play during Early Access. Do you think it'll work seeing as the early access is linked to my PSN ID or does it link to both PSN and service account?
