Sounds like if you plan to play both you better split the stat points between INT and MND, as it seems reallocating stat points isn't something that'll easily be done.

So sounds like my breakdown may be the way to go. until they release more jobs, the only class it matters with is ACN. I suspect they will give everyone an attribute reset whenever the new jobs are added.

The way it's worded makes me believe that you'll have to complete a lengthy quest or something to be able to obtain the item which allows you to redistribute points.

It will probably be via "The Keeper's Hymn" or a similar item.

You mean like the "Potion of Fantasia" they talked about in the part about the "Veteran rewards program". I'm guessing it will be craftable by high level alchemists and require some very hard to find reagents. I wouldn't be surprised if it had a 7 day cooldown or something like that.

Which is why I went on to explain the quest idea =b

I just meant it as you can switch whenever you like, but it may take time. Besides, there's nothing to stop you obtaining the item and then holding onto it for future use.

The "Potion of Me" is used for the Character Redesign, not for point allocation.

Well Yoshi did say he would want people to make a choice once attaining Level 50. Splitting them just makes you a jack-of-all-trades/Master of None. But I suppose it's an option.
