Missing 1.0 character

I just got off a chat support. He was able to help me out by getting me a new code that applied to my FFXIV Service Account 2.

I now have access to my 1.0 character. Hopefully everyone else is able to get their issue fixed, especially you Denmo...gotta get dat 2.0 beard on.

That's good. But if he cuts me off again I swear I may get banned from 2.0 entirely just from the expletives my mouth will emit.

Ok here's what I had to do. I went to Customer Support of Final Fantasy XIV. Contact Category: Products & Services; Sub-category: Beta Test

Just put that you have not received your beta key for your 1.0 service account. CS logs in and HOPEFULLY give you a new key.

After this, CANCEL your Final Fantasy XIV(the first one) just for safe measures, and leave the Final Fantasy XIV 2 or 3 which ever contains your 1.0 character.

Register your code and pay attention to which account to apply it to as it may give you a drop down. Then you should be able to access your 1.0 character.

I had a similar problem when I 1st attempted to log in. I have 2 accounts with legacy status. My main account didn't appear upon login but it showed me as a Legacy status. My alt was back in my original server. After tinkering with the character selection (I was trying to delete the character I recently made on Beta to see if my main would reappear) I found my original character by selecting the world button/selection on top of my character's name.

So why do we have 2 service accounts to begin with? I didn't do that so why is it there? And when applying the beta code it doesn't give you the option to attach it to a certain one. You have 2 service accounts with one username and password to log in and it obviously works. I am confused on this matter.

My 1.0 character didn't show up until I went to the server I played on (Excalibur) where I could then load up my character (don't forget you can scroll the server list to move the list up/down - seems people have issues with that too). It's not on the character select screen by default.

The issue where there are two service accounts won't be solved by this. Even when you select the correct server, your character just doesn't show up. It's super lame and the customer service is really bad.

I was finally able to get to Customer support via the chat service. I think what was originally going on was Chrome didn't like their chat service and it auto-booted me when the chat opened up. So on my 4th try I used IE, and it worked. Talked to support guy and he straight up gave me a new beta key for my second service account.

Hope this helps anyone else.

I'll have to wait until Monday, but good deal.

We didn't get an option to select the service account we wanted. At least not from what I can remember. Just odd.
