Gaius is calling in the big dog to deal with Eorzea. Omega/Ultima weapon is perfect for combating Beastmen Primals and the armies of the Eorzean Alliance. But luckily we're returning to the world, what better way to combat a Weapon with a Lalafell Paladin. B)

I thought it was Ultima Weapon? Omega has traditionally looked kinda like a spider or something, except with half as many legs.

Omega is a robotic spider-like creature in every FF except VIII and X (maybe another, but I think that's it)

When they carry Omega there...there's 3 of them, and they look tiny.
Tortoise isn't half the size of gridania :) it's just about as tall as some of the bigger trees.
Omega is bigger than the 3 juggernauts combined.
so even if it's not bigger, or as big as the tortoise, it's certainly close.
i'm guessing they made it that big, in response to, that people wanted that big FATEs/bosses, in the game.

You must be talking about a totally different tortoise, because the one they are referencing was so huge, it was far in the background and still dwarfed everything in the zone.
