Well the only parts that were already made were the wig, shin guards, sandals and white shirt. The rest I measured and cut and threw together with the all-mighty fabric glue >_>

All in all though it was a very fun learning experience. I learned a lot about how certain fabrics behave and how to spot the right kind to mimic the actual clothing Than wears.

That costume is awesome Vil! :D You made an excellent Thancred - and yes, you passed perfectly - I really thought you were a guy in those photos! :D

Did you get anyone who recognized you/had even played/heard of FFXIV?

Haha nope, but I kinda expected that. Goes with the whole "supporting 1.0 crap game" territory thing XD. Friend said I did get a few glances and all that, but if they did recognize me, they didn't run up to me and like..glomp me or something.

I have been walking around with my Final Fantasy XI Fanfest 2008 bag just to show I'm from FF series, though.

Thanks for the comments :D I still feel its unfinished, but that's just the artist in me fussing over small details T.T

No, I missed it this year :( was strapped for cash since I'd just moved.

Aw okay. I had made the Limsa Grand Company Overcoat and wore it to that convention. Your Thancred is awesome btw.
