Minions! (They Like That Better Than Henchmonsters)

Red XIII would be cool to have around, or at least his brethren in some form.

As much as I'm disappointed they don't do much in the game, and as slow as the idea grew on me (I mean- at first, I was like "Pfft! Wasted development!")... But after the live letter, and seeing some of those concepts... I'm totally stoked about this idea! I love Tonberrys and Mandragoras, I'd be happy with either- but what I'm mostly hoping for is the addition of super rare or difficult to get pets, something to show achievement. I hope Baby behemoth is a reward for defeating king behemoth for example ^_^

^^ This! Only, forget about the arena, would be good if you can do it anywhere, including in towns, just as a casual semi competitive thing, very much 'on the fly'.

But at the bottom line, I do hope they concentrate on the core game, and not the extraneous- at least until the game is established enough for them to be able to add niche mechanics like this.

First off, props to the OP for the Venture Bros reference.

Second... for most of the pets it's not an issue... but for the qiqirn... is anyone else a little worried about how we can have a baby qiqirn? Did we kidnap it? Did we buy it off some beastman black market slave trader?
