Thanks for this, now I can copy and paste in style. :P
I like yours better too, but there are still some little differences - sometimes it looks a bit odd if you compare both Fonts. Example: M
Here the link to the other one, you already mentioned based on maps:

Yeah I took some liberty with it, as it seemed lore-acceptable to do so based on this official image:

Mine would be most akin to the 'm' in Kokosamu's name, but Mutamix also has a highly altered variation on the letter. Swynbroes has an extreme variation on 'S' making it look like a Latin 'G' but I opted not to adopt that one for the font.
Uppercase Z is another letter where I didn't follow the map examples quite as closely.
Maybe each race have their unique style of writing

well this make a good banner
thanks for the font, Myranda
:O Awesome! I'm sure to use it sooner or later!
how do you make a font? I'm familiar with the various font formats from typography, but I don't recall the course ever covering how to create one.
I used the program FontCreator to do it, basically just copy/pasting the objects (letters) from my Illustrator EPS file into the program and then resizing by eye. This tutorial gives the basic idea http://www.myfirstfont.com/, only difference being I just drew on the computer with a tablet instead of printing and scanning. I'm sure other font creating programs out there work similarly. Without the programs I'd have no idea how it's done in detail: I'm content to just make the pretty and let it sort out where in the Unicode/Windows/Mac code-points to assign the characters to appear.
Other than that, I was winging it, just seeing what various commands in the program do and using generous amounts of the undo button when the result sucked. I've never taken a typography class, I'm not a graphic designer, nor have I ever had any sort of art training. My degree is actually in Physics, I just have very wide interests... :P
Most of the minor things I mentioned wanting to tweak are a result of this, where I'd learn something new about it but I'm past the point where it would be easiest to implement so I just didn't bother to do it.
