Yeah, given the chocobo raising system is, obviously, exclusive to chocobos, I don't see non-standard mounts being anything more than rare vanity pieces, which is fine. Personally, I think this sort of borrowing from the big contenders like WoW is a dangerous game, but one you have to play if you want to be successful.
Standing on the shoulders of a great predecessor is common sense, but it's all together too easy to end up falling off and just looking like a fool. I have confidence that at the very least, Yoshi-P will make a game that I will want to play. I do sometimes worry about how many people will be joining me though. -
