I miss 1.0 already.

I've been spoiled by MMO's now. I tried playing some Skyrim last night and it was fun....but oh so lonely.

I did play Terra. The combat is great but the quests are awful.

Go out, smell the fresh air/smog, get some poon at the bar.

At least that's my plan.

With you there. I've opened my launcher 3 times today, only to get sad when I see the countdown timer at 0 and remember that it's all gone.

It's funny because I was all like yay its over, burn 1.0 bring on 2.0! now I'm sad it's all over lol

I didn't play all the time, 3 jobs (CNJ, THM and PUG) to 50 but going to start afresh when ARR is released. I've watched the end video over and over and keep looking at this forum. Have my PC wallpaper looking at my character outside Limsa Lominsa with a load of other characters, was taken the second before the game shut down. Downloading Mass Effect 3 from Origin atm to pass my time

If you want that distinct "FF" feel, you could always go back and replay the older Final Fantasies. Otherwise, just pick up one of those other MMO's to keep you occupied. Sure, it's not the same -- but you wouldn't want it to be. You want it to satisfy you just enough so that you can put it down without ANY qualms when ARR comes out. The reason I specifically suggest another MMO is so that you can get that 'social aspect' that you can only get with an MMO. Perhaps you would like to suggest this idea to your LS, so a bunch of you can still play together and have fun outside of FFXIV. A bunch of people from my LS are trying to coordinate as far as finding another game we can play together until ARR.

People just moan at me on other MMOs for talking about FF to much lol.
