When do we play?

800 people in one zone. That's still quite a lot, but yeah, should be upped :)

I meant, they needed to save our progress and take don the servers to transfer the data. Why take them down before it is necessary? I don't understand why having the players not playing your game for 3-4 months is going to turn out for the better.

There's a lot of complex data they need to re-encode, I imagine the data we have now will be incompatible with ARR because of the different graphics engine making it a lot more than a copy and paste.

Re-encoding complex graphics and data takes a lot of work and time, Yoshi-P said it will take over 1 month to do it, and they want plenty of leeway, imagine a completly working and polished game being delayed because the character port was not ready, or worse starting without our characters.

Guys, I came up with another doubt, will be the 26th Global alpha.
I signed up for alpha in September, I was not selected until today and I understand that perfectly.

However I wonder if there is a possibility I will not be part of the global alpha.

Or if everyone who signed up will be able to participate.

No it's not sure. If you see #FF14 tag on twitter you will see many JP users are not selected even after SQEX has sent 3 waves of additional invitation.

This is because alpha version is started with single one server, it just can't bear all users who signed up. Dev will add servers before global alpha. But they didn't say they will send invite to all global users at Nov.26. When server is stable enough to run 24/7, they will let more users to get in. So all we can do is wait and pray for our luck.

Thank you for answer, i will not create many expectations, so I would not be sad later.

Should have a better idea of the time line at the end of Nov or the beginning of Dec when they publish the new Road map.
