The only way this rumor is true is if it came from Yoshida's mouth himself.
JULY!?!? /10char
Should this be true, then I guess they're seriously fixed on the "it's ready when it's ready" idea. Which is good. Should things proceed smoothly, they can still release it earlier.
No not exactly, Yoshi isn't the only person that would know this info in a company especially since he has his own bosses too. You kind of have to let the people who are working on the project know the full deadlines and whatnot..so more people would know the information.
Lol I call BS. If that was the plan why shut down 1.xx so early and pass on monthly fees? Makes no sense at all to me.
First post ever on the lodestone, long time XI player whose kicked around in XIV here and there waiting for changes. So hello to you all!
Secondly, even if it's a 6 month waiting period they must really be increasing the content. Enticing newcomers while keeping the veterans happy with a bunch of... dare I say... "End game" content? With the added strength to the XIV dev team they are clearly not taking this lightly and are amping up for something really special- dare I say legendary?
They're no longer continuing development on 1.0 so they could end it whenever they please, the sooner the better as it's just bleeding money. If you read what it even says, they expected ARR sooner, but as many people and even media stated before, SE is being a bit too careful.
I know a guy at SE that told me that Final Fantasy 15 was coming out in 2020 and will be for the PS6 and have to buy it in 5 dollar increments that end up being 80 dollars overall. Everyone from the FFv.XIII team has been transferred to the Dragon Quest Monsters team also.
