Yeah, I'm actually really sad. I would much rather have a Golden Week-themed event than an Easter one. You don't have to be Christian to care about Golden Week, but you do have to be Christian to care about Easter (unless you just like fluffy bunnies and Easter candy).

And where does it say this?

He said that about 70% of patch 1.17 is going to be released early... that's the majority of it. Basically the only thing we aren't getting is the dungeon. I'm pretty sure that means that we'll be getting battle changes in 1.17 and not 1.17a. Your doomsday BS is unwelcome and unwarranted.

To tell you the truth I would rather the dev team and Yoshi give me a general date, rather than a specific date. Just in case if something comes up or testing doesn't go as planned, then they don't have to re-plan and disappoint us by delaying a patch by a day or two.

I am grateful tho for all the hard work SE is doing to help get FFXIV back on its feet, even through what that region has gone through in the past month or so.

He mentioned that there will be a seasonal event in the patch... he did not say that that is all that would be in the patch. 1.17 patch is carrying battle changes, instanced dungeon, and a "slew of other changes". He's just said that 70% of it will be released in 1.17 and 30% in 1.17a. And he implied that 1.17a would be the dungeon. We can expect the bulk of 1.17 in the first half.

I'm a little bit sad knowing that they scrapped the Sword festival, it was always one of my favorite holiday events, but I'm looking forward to the new PvE content, it's been a long time coming.
