I think a lot has to do with the time lag between Japan and everywhere else, then having to translate it, etc. But still, we should only be behind them 1-2 days at most, excluding weekends, if they'd release little tidbits more frequently. It seems like we're getting community rep posts more often than before with newer information, but I guess most of it isn't "significant" enough to appease people. I think people want to know more about the major systems of the game and I guess they're not ready to release info on that.
I think when people are that invested into something it's hard for them to move on short of them just shutting down the game. I recently reactivated my FF11 account too and it was amazing to recognize so many of the names I did from PC NA launch.Quote:

as much as i would like new info's. personally the reason this game has slowly sucked more and more is cause the game failed and SE gave a little power to the players. giving out info will just give be shouting matches and casual side seems to keep winning. if by them being majority an the fact that it's way less work for the devs that way, how can they lose, more money and less work. woot for them. but anywho, less info out is better, no more changes no more bitching. roll the film and done.

To date, it seems all we've gotten is info on a new class and job, a few different variations on the same demo footage from GC, some of which wasn't even officially released by SE, and a couple new trailers, one showing Overdrives, and the other featuring an awful lot of incomplete, "in development" footage. There's been concept art of things that we've known about for a long time now.
Yoshi-P seems to be brushing off any questions of substance when they're asked, giving very general responses that don't say much of anything. Too much potato, not enough meat; and Miq'ote like meat, dammit!
I'm beginning to wonder if they aren't falling behind on schedule.
I guess it's good that I've made it a point to remain cautiously optimistic regarding ARR, with more emphasis on "cautiously". I'm beginning to see the "we'll have more information on "x' later, so please look forward to it!" that Tanaka used like it was approaching its expiration date, prior to XIV's original launch.
I hope I'm wrong and my concerns prove unfounded but, well.. "cautiously optimistic". -
