1:15 gameplay.. 1:26, gameplay , 1:32 gameplay.. don't claim that there was only CGI and cutscenes if you didn't even watch the full thing

Those were just some random videos I liked personally. Doesn't mean all fan videos have to be the same way. When SE releases some play through or players can video capture their own game play, it can be used. I've seen fan made vids of other MMO's loaded with game play that have been awesome, especially GW2 fan videos long before launch.
I just figured in this day of age when user created content is so widely available and high quality that SE could take advantage of it for fun. And give an official platform for fans to show off their editing skills and the game they love rather then randomly posting on youtube and hoping people notice it.
Gameplay, you say? Not to toot my own horn, but.

Beep.
Beep.
And to a lesser extent, beep.
But on a whole, I agree. Almost anyone can take a bunch of cutscenes, throw them together, and match it to music. Takes another degree of patience, timing, and work to include actual in-game footage inbetween any cutscenes you might be using, and I couldn't imagine making a video (as terrible as they might be) without it.
watch. the videos. before you comment.
there was MORE gamplay and battle content in those than ANY of the 2.0 trailers.
edit: (i could be misinterpreting your post, but my reply still stands for others who fail to watch them and comment about "throwing together a bunch of CSs"

aghhh what in the fudge o.0... No..
And a comment to Endemerrin, great job on the video and audio ( especially the audio, it came out really great imo ) on your first linked vid. I have always thought fan videos to be superior to most marketing videos from developers. Let the devs keep making thier own, youtube will always be filled with great ones made on a more personal level that appeal to individual crowds and come out just as great as if studio made.
