What happend to optimized Keyboard and Mouse UI?

I actually think this is a very valid question, I've been using a controller as well since it's just simply more efficient than the terrible keyboard setup they have. If they were to make a good KB/M UI I would definitely make the switch.

I'd also like to see further improvements to the usability of mouse and keyboard. My arthritis prevents me from using a game controller (my hands are about 50 years older than the rest of me), which is why I don't play on a console. Having UI options that are optimized for my PC setup would be nice.

Yup the only way I can see it working is if they have a completely seperate UI for mouse/keyboard set up, can't see that happening though.

This one ;P It's so much more intuitive.
And remember, FFXIV is done like a console game, not like western point and click MMOs. So yeah, it does make more sense to use a controller and type with the keyboard.

If you haven't tried controller, TRY IT. It is so much easier and more intuitive to play with. I played mouse and keyboard for the first 4 months, after that I started using a PS2 controller I picked up and wow it is so much better. I will admit I still grab the mouse for a quick click now and then if I want to target something, but not often.
