So we are getting servers around the world? This will split a big part of the community. Basicly every new player will choose a server near his location and only 1.0 player will stay at the international servers.

Wohooo! it says that Samurai and Ninja jobs will be implemented! I love you Yoshi! I will play this game until FFXVII Online comes out!
I think it's awesome what they're doing with the music, splitting the tracks between different sections of the zones and blending them as you travel through. I can't wait to hear how it all comes together.
the new quest system and so on looks just fun.
Arcanists will be smashing enemies directly with their books (with less damage though)^
The character animation looks like a copy-pasted animation from any generic korean mmo.
That's one of the main reasons i also feel this way.
Support and make your concerns be heard before its too late :

And in WAR, and in RIFT and in other MMOs.
They didn't go into much detail about the exact implementation, though, so I guess they'll reveal that later..?
The video is very impressive and they go over some very cool stuff. But I was getting the same "vibe" from much of what they described as what was noted earlier in the thread. A lot of what they said they're adding, or have added, sounds very "generic MMO", like they really are just lifting ideas from existing MMOs and dropping them in.
Now, that said, SE also has a history taking familiar ideas and putting their own twist on them. They did that a lot in XI, for sure. And they even do that throughout their own games, taking a concept you've seen in previous titles, but finding a different way to implement it. So maybe that's the case here.
For example, they mention having public events, and immediately neorei's mind went to GW2. There have been other MMOs before with public events, GW2 is just the current "high profile" one, so I guess it's to be expected. Anywhere I go it seems, everything is being attributed to GW2 (which is getting kind of annoying to be honest.. "gas prices are rising? It's because more people are burning gas to go buy a physical copy of GW2!" (not an actual example, obviously :-p)).
In all, some of the key things they spoke about didn't strike me as being "new", but of being directly lifted from your typical MMO.
I'll hold off final judgment 'til I've experienced it myself, and describe my feelings as purely ambivalent at this point.
Here's my take on that issue:

Don't know if I should post it in your thread too?
