Of course they scrapped the whole game so they could remake a downgraded version.
I'll say like the other's, pre-alpha. They probably intentionally left out a lot of stuff like this for now so they could have something ready to show us at gamerscom.
There is no argument or discussion, its a video footage of incomplete gameplay footage, it hasn't been fine tuned yet, if it is not improved by alpha or beta release then you can provide feedback.
@OP. a lot of people already seen the footage, I think you're the first one to make a thread about walking animation.
first it was grass, then jumping. now this. maybe they just have the physics turned off in config. anything to improve performance is a plus for me.
But ofcourse, let's hope when in Alpha is not like that... :\
i too had issue when i saw the footage about the camera (Check my thread here). But really i'm with you on this.. animation for me in 1.x is ok, but if it's needed to change in ARR, hope it does not change too worst, need to try on this first... .
But then again.. maybe because of PvP , ahh the sacrifice to get fun... .
I really hope its incomplete, though Yoshida stated that they already "completely revamped" the animation at Gamescom, so again, there is a huge possibility that we're going to lose the god-tier animation that we currently have to a generic downgraded animation plus the ability to jump.
I'm dissapointed in Hiir >:( *must catch all Lalafell and throw them in the dungeon for winter supplies*
i think its too early to discuss about that.
let me see first in direct action on my desktop. and then i can tell you if the quality has been lowered.
i just can tell that things like this:

are looking extremely detailed and lively to me.
although im also just a little sceptical, the colors for example changed drastically.
I cant describe it, the colors seem to have a matt effect or whatever in comparison to now.
But i think in some ways it just looks better. But i need to see it directly on my desktop in order to judge how the graphics are compared to the recent version
