woot still have time to relax a little bit
I hope the servers for version 1.0 are not kept running. We don't need to hold onto the past. It would be even more of a ghost town by then than it is now and we don't need to confuse or upset people that think they can stay.
I can understand keeping the servers going so that friends/linkshell members can still hangout together but, what would we do? If after the character save on Nov 1st is the end all, anything we do after that will not be saved. I don't know what we would do except sit around town talking because doing anything else would be a waste.
I wouldn't be against the game coming back up, if the things I would do would have an impact. Like, I'm working towards relic(late like, since I've only been back on for a month or so) so if I didn't finish it by then, and had to use those 10 days lapse or more.. then I would like the data to be saved. ;xQuote:
We can bring the servers back up after a few days, and you’ll be able to keep playing the game just like normal...but your final save data will remain unchanged.
Ah, I knew he didn't think the game demo was good enough for the general public.
I'm a bit split when it comes to this letter. I think it's vital that they spend enough time needed on this game for it to succeed, but yet again, we're asked to wait for info. It does look like we'll see something new for the anniversary event and TGS, but they need to start showing us this "flood of info" that they promised us from Gamescom and onwards. It doesn't necessarily have to be "walkthroughs for every in-game area or making a bunch of introductory gameplay videos". Just some info in text format on the website with a few artworks/screenshots added in, would help a lot.
I didn't expect that any of us would be invited to alpha, so that's definitely a bonus.
It's time to let go of the past people. ;) Let this version die the death it deserves and look forward to 2.0.
