Sorry for the ramble off the original topic, spoilering my thoughts to preserve legibility.
They could well be using them. There's a number of plugins that are earmarked "disabled in PvP" for all it's worth, that have been reverse engineered to function in PvP. There are ones that target lowest health, most optimal target to AoE on button press, functionality that tells someone who they're being targeted by, to name a few. That stuff exists. But as to who is using them well, that's the detective work isn't it, and it should be more up to moderators to catch up with that.
However. You do get alliances that are emboldened by having a commander to the extent they'll suddenly receive a skill level buff lol. Those are rare though, I find more often than not you'll have either:
A. commander is chomping at the bit to win (or just be important idk) but with none of the eloquence, while the concerning alliance is still lackadaisical but will at the very least follow their dorito-marked chosen like a shadow while offering only the most basic cohesion in fights.
B. it's a 4-pack commander force that are the arrogant sort who treat their out-group like fodder once they're done rolling their 123s and leave the rest to fend for themselves. If they didn't already unwittingly sac themselves giving a moment for that group to do their zzz stuff so they can be all happy with the padded results at the end.
Those two sorts of commander-lead forces are far easier to pick apart. Yes, as a solo player too. In those two cases it doesn't really matter how bad my alliance is, I'll find something to throw at those pretty easily.
I get it though. You just don't want to see those when you don't have one of those commanders/premades on your side to equalize while you yourself feel too weak to intervene. Idk then, you could try queueing around roulette resets where you're more likely to be shuffled into full daily grind people, where peak desire to PvP is tepid at best and probably more comfortable. There's not enough people for consistently accurate matchmaking or whatever to happen the further along it goes into the day. I've been restricted to operating only in later hours for a while now, so I don't know how reset hour queues are like anymore.
Make no mistake, I'd like to see more players actually enjoy their time in it just a little, but sometimes it's hard to see where it's mainly an unrealistic erosion of morale opposed to balanced and genuine approaches failing every time to inflict that shattered composure.
Again, apologies for my prattling. I'm super tired.
