Interesting! I did not know that. You would be correct in assuming that I thought the percentages were simply added together. I will have to try that out.

I reeeaaally don't think you're right about a static quality gain for Perfection + Byregot's, though.

every step you do, the amount of available quality goes down.
so if a success on the first step is worth 40, the next step with same color and success will be 37-39.
Hitting those great successes in the beginning is the best way to get those nuggets to 1000 quality and ingots to 800

You sould get rainbow within the first 3 steps
After 3 carefuls pop Comfort Zone and do 1 careful and 2 standard, you should be at 600 quality 56 progress and 106 quality
At here do 7 more carefuls to get closer to 800+ quality

this should give you 200-300+ quality in the first 3 steps leaving 9 more carefuls for another 180.
On nuggets, that's 880-1000 and ingots, 713-800+
Let me know how it works out and see if you can verify the numbers.
Gear. What eve lol, stick with 120-120 +control. unless your setting brand of fire instead of Opus. In this case drop control to 70-100

Its stated in the official crafting post how to do so.
1) Meet the minimum craftsmanship requirements to remove the penalty.
2) Add more craftsmanship for more action success.

As Green stated, aim for 120/120 in both craftsmanship.

I'll try it all out. I went 0/7 on STR gloves and 0/13 on my BLM pants so got kinda broke :/
