Looking at the data files, that seemed to be part of The Parting Glass cutscenes. It's an answer to Kan-E-Senna's "I take it you have grown accustomed to your responsibilities?" question. I can't find it in any videos though, so who knows?

Looking at the data files, that seemed to be part of The Parting Glass cutscenes. It's an answer to Kan-E-Senna's "I take it you have grown accustomed to your responsibilities?" question. I can't find it in any videos though, so who knows?
Hypothesis: When Minfilia enters the room and the camera pans to Aymeric before she says, "everyone looks to be in high spirits", perhaps that's meant to be what Kan-E and Aymeric are saying to each other, but for whatever reason this "background exchange" was never fully implemented, yet ye olde 2017 Lore Finder site was still able to drop that quote in with the others.
I dug a bit deeper, and would like to support Anonymoose's hypothesis. In particular, the order of the dialogue bits is as follows in English, German, French and Japanese:

There's no particular reason why the order matters for a computer program, but in practice it seems those are used in that order for all the dialogue I could find.
An interesting detail is that in Japanese, Aymeric isn't talking about social obligation in general, he's just asking for forgiveness ("お許しください") (implied: for any transgressions and breaks of protocol) because he's not experienced in such occasions ("こういった場") as they are in right now.
I don't have the ability to pull data files, so this is really helpful to see. Thank you so much! I was driving myself mad in NG+ trying to find it only to see I never would find it in normal gameplay. It's such a good line, but I had no idea where it came from.
I have a character that is approaching the end of base ARR. I'll keep an eye out for it as I push her through.
