I'm conflicted on this...
Weapon would be easily solvable by, for example making it be a level 1 weapon, with 770 item level, and just have it so that the attributes and secondary stats are scaled with level, just exactly with the bonus exp earrings we always get...
But, EXP would be an issue because it would mean that players would then need to level from 1-100 and then do story and so forth... Which is an issue when you look at it from the perspective they've basically designed it this way to give players ample time to experience everything from the new expansion without being pressured to do so.. Which I think it would add pressure for those that want to experience everything in time for raids whilst having the jobs and everything ready...
Like, you will lose all of your armory bonus very quickly... I don't think the new jobs are insurmountable.. Just spend a little time reading the job guide on their website and it will tell you everything you need to know about playing the job at a 'reasonable' level for someone doing main scenario.
