Please add a pity system for dungeon gear!

I agree! Dungeon glam is so difficult to get. Even running old dungeons solo can be a miserable and long experience.

Another area that is similar is alliance raids. I still have pieces that I want from past alliance raids and have kind of given up hope.

You don't need to queue them up individually, they are already included in Expert and Level Cap Dungeons, which adds enough incentive and longevity seeing as you need tomestones for both the relic, and the gear itself...

'brother', the story mode dungeons are not going to die as a result of this. Strayborough and Tender Valley barely have a 6 minute queue, and they only offer Epochal accessories.

yeah im in favour of this, I'd also like this sort of system for alliance raids once weekly lookout is removed.

are you using the 'forced drop' method? unsure if it was fake or not. but apparently if you ran it with the item already in your inventory it will not drop that item.

it *might* only work when solo (trust example) or when everyone else also has the item in their inventory.
From folks below stating the duplicated items - potentially only solo

its a cruddy workaround if it works but your request wont be added to the game prior to the next patch (even if SE anaswered this post today and said okay we do it) so its worth a try.

That only works with leveling dungeons (x1-x9), not ones at the level cap.

I agree that there should be some sort of pity or soft pity system for the level cap dungeons, there's still a few that have completely unique gear models and farming them is a nightmare if you want a specific piece (I never want to see the Grand Cosmos ever again...). Even something as simple as "the loot tables get weighted towards whatever jobs are in the party" would be a huge help - so, for example, if you go in with a SAM & BLM, you'd have a higher chance of striking and casting gear dropping.

It's not really a choice if you want to cap tomes each week for the fastest way to do it in EXDR.

Also, I like rous and most dungeons, but I hate failing to get the last piece of glam I wanted for weeks now since it'll make everyone miserable for no reason since I have other items already done so I don't even get a new piece I'm missing since I have the full set of accessories done.

As some who has done end game glam farming from dungeons before. This is an update that end game dungeons really need.
Say you need some item levels on Alt jobs well having end game dungeons give you pity gear at the end would help pad those jobs until better gear from alternate sources are gained.

I've said before, I understand it being a limit they put on current content to keep you running Expert roulette for longer, but there's no good reason to retain the increased difficulty of getting gear from previous expansions' patch dungeons that are no longer at the level cap. They suffer the double frustration of no pity drops on top of already giving out less gear per run than a levelling dungeon -- each non-boss coffer only has a chance of containing an item, and (at least in some dungeons) even the first boss only has a 50% chance between shoes or the nothingness that used to be a belt, so you can finish some runs with only two pieces of gear acquired.

Yeah I really don't get why the pity system doesn't apply to current expansion, I mean I get it they want people to have to grind more but it really seems a bit excessive

Pity system means that I might still need to do 8-10 runs to get my desired piece and that's more than enough in my humble opinion.
