I don't disliked Christmas, quite the opposite, it's a nice distraction once a year, I simply have a ton of frustration with it hijacking the time of other holidays, and being treated as "better" for consumerist reasons, it's hardly my favorite holiday even at that leg of the year.
Now Halloween, now that's a brilliant holiday, the night where the different and unusual, the bizarre and macabre, are celebrated, where darkness is seen as comforting, there can't possibly be a better day... and even then, I wouldn't want it to overstay its welcome, the magic of such an event relies on its ephemeral nature, and I wouldn't want to see something I hold so dear to lose its magic, one month of build up to release is more than enough.

I can get behind this. I generally think events are too short as it is anyway but yeah. World is so full of doom and gloom right now that doing the main story today and seeing talk of war made me feel uneasy.
