Where did you get this weird idea that you have to click on a player's character to see what he/she/it is wearing in the game? Have you skipped all the MSQ dungeons, trials, and raids?

Play with NPC's then.
I for one am a big fan of theocracies that lasted for a thousand years getting axed by some pink haired catgirl in a moogle shirt and hotpants.
Just imagine being this all powerful empire (doesn't even matter which one) and you have to see it all crumble because some rando in casual clothes decides that your country could use a change in leadership.
That's just like your opinion, man.
Also, have you considered not caring about other people's characters in an MMO? Duty Support exists if it breaks immersion to see fellow WoL in mascot suits.
If you're referring to the cutscenes that you see at the start of a MSQ, dungeon, trial, and raid. Then you have the option to skip them.
If you're complaining about seeing all of this, then that literally means that you aren't skipping the cutscenes. Excluding castrum, praetorium, and Ultima weapon.
Keep in mind that if you tell me that you have the skip function enabled then that means that you literally are watching the cutscenes and you're complaining about seeing everyone when you don't have to.
God forbid I ever watch a cutscene in a new MSQ-related piece of content for the first time... without skipping it. But maybe I should actually re-enable the option to watch even super old cutscenes 100,000 times more just to make everyone else wait in dungeons, trials, and raids while I waste time as a healer.
