Please stop destroying the playerbase + fix blacklist

you need to get out of your bubble if you think the userbase for it was even 5% of the game's playerbase

That seems to be a problem with the friend's list instead of the blacklist. So, changes should be made to the friend's list, in that if you remove them, then you would also be removed from their friend's list.

Seems questionable whether someone actually liked the game if they're quitting solely because they can no longer do something that was strictly prohibited in the Terms of Service to begin with.

There were between 25k and 120k active users of that plugin, depending on the time and day. The same amount as players on Steam.

Active playerbase for XIV in general is under 1 million.

Even if they don't like the general game, they like it still enough to pay a monthly fee to be able to socialize with other players.

That 5% percent count might be tallied up by counting all players across different servers other than NA. Not a small number, mind you, but when you put it against the whole player count, it probably isn't a lot.

registered active users dropped to around 20k the last two months or so, but lets exclude that bit for now.

From what youre saying its less than 5%, thanks for the confirmation...

It's infortunate, but not a game-breaker. It was just a tool to see others, and add flavor to a character, at least for sane RPers.

Honestly I don't have much sympathy for modbeasts.Mods don't solve everything especially not in RP. If you exclude others because they didn't see how Ultraawesomesupercalifragilisticexpialidocious your character looks then that's a you problem and shallow. Probably the kind of crowd that sits in an Onsen with full armor because they didn't even bother changing glamour plates.
That said, the anti-mare crowd gets on my nerves with gloating how much better they are.

Today I heard that they’ve actually started suspending people in-game for actively talking in public chats about mods. Maybe at this point they just want
to see how many players are still around for how the game really is. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I think they’re moving in the right direction.
The rule also always was: Be quiet when you use the stuff. It was broken like it was not there anymore.

This game can never heal or truly improve if such a huge part of the playerbase is basically playing 'another game' inside the game. Whether they’ll
really take the chance to improve things themselves in the near future, I don’t know, and honestly my hopes are low. But I do believe the shutdown
of Mare is important to create a foundation where again all players can actually come together in this game.

a yes please keep breaking the ToS that you all agreed to good idea yes. overall I think it's a good thing for the RP community because now everyone is on the equal field meaning no more discrimination on people who play on console.
