Please Up Drop Rates of Demi-Atma.

Is the point you're trying to make that the grind takes too much time, or that basing the system on rng is terrible?

Ultimately on the first point, the people that love the content the most will be happy with a grind that takes time, while the people that hate it will be extremely displeased.
On the second point, I think most people think it's awful, so you're preaching to the church.

You're still Knowledge Level 2? Why are you fighting regular enemies? They don't even drop anything interesting aside a few gold pieces. Outside of the initial quest that requires you to hunt a few, you should be leveling by doing CEs and FATEs. Try to run past enemies on the way as they'll likely destroy you... and if you do die then just ask for a res as people are more than happy to help someone out.

The droprate is low, but at least it's only a one-time quest. ARR and HW relics were far more grindy.

Agreed totally.

People like OP that expect everything just by logging in really confuse me.

You love the game? It's run on a subscription model that keeps your game running..

If ppl have nothing to do or work for then they get bored. Subscriptions go down - game goes into maintenance mode.

Your getting more updates in the mogstore than updates? (Which is happening) I wonder why.

Vieras and Hroth getting hats in 7.3? Bet you don't get a free Fanta in 7.3 bevause it's a business move for PR and money from Fantasia.

I enjoy grinds they keep me engaged as a player. I used to play Runescape many moons ago when it was a browser game.. I know a grind)

They tried to make the best of both worlds with this first step which I respect. A grind for the first step and casual after.. I get it.

When they do something like they did in realm reborn launch relics and have you grind fates for a 2% drop and fill books etc then you can complain.

The atmas are nothing compared to those grinds.

You can easily do this before 8.0. I see no problem.

I'm just praying they find a balance because they annoy one side or another.

I'm also praying they find put what they want to do with this game apart from annoying both camps and losing money. (But that's another story)

The problem isn't even the drop rate. It's that you have no agency over which atma you're working on in OC. They just copy pasted the bozja relic step into OC where it didn't belong. You just have to sit around and wait for the game to spawn a CE/Fate in the zone you need.

OC is just poorly thought out in general. The meat of the content is good, but its all ruined by some other bizarre design decision.

There should really be some protection against bad luck. I am at 127 CEs and hundreds fates including 264 in OC with only 14 Atma. Since I was missing the Verdigris and the Malachite only, I tried farming in Koza and Yak’tel: I was at zero fates, I now not only got the fate achievements (mininum 60 fates per zone), I’ve capped my gems 2 times after that. Not a single drop in days. Going back to OC is just waiting forever as only one fate and one CE can spawn at a time and they tend to be in the wrong areas. There is zero fun in doing this and it’s completely discouraging.

Edit: one finally dropped but it took hundreds of fates since the previous one. 3 to go. This is way below the announced drop rates.

Fairly early on, it was figured out that each general zone of OC drops a different Atma color. You can find a map for each color, and if a FATE or CE pops in an area you're not interested in, it's a good time to take a snack break while waiting for the next to spawn. I ended up doing that for my last Atmas (which where unfortunately in the Skalla region) so I mostly just hunted for chests and engaged in CEs while waiting for any Skalla FATEs or CEs to spawn. It helps break up the grind a little imo, though it'd be much nicer if they just let us trade in the extra shards we get from engaging in everything we can.

I've spent so much time in the South Horn several days. I've only managed to get...maybe four or five out of weeks spent farming that damn zone for at least two or three hours because I cannot stand the return simulator for longer than that. Honestly, I'm
surprised I lasted as long as I did.

Idc how good the droprate is atmas suck. I don't want a boring RNG fate grind. I feel no accomplishment in doing fates forever until rng arbitrarily decides I'm free.

Not adding some sort of bad luck protection is just such a fail.

But they also made this big beautiful zone and then just filled it with fates and mini primal fights in the standard circle/square arenas. This entire expac has just highlighted the complete lack of creativity and foresight of this team, or at least it's lead.

The only problem I have with it is that one of the atmas is nearly impossible to get in OC because there is only one CE in that zone, it needs to be manually spawned, and its the only one that isn't possible to solo. I've gotten every other one completely passively.
