7.3 is insufficient (Relic,Deep Dungeon and Cosmic Exploration has to carry 4 Months)

I agree with your comment about the length of content. It's getting to the point I feel like I do everything the day it's out and then there's nothing except things that are dailies, and I'm not even no-lifing what they give us.
7.2 was a step in the right direction, even if it didn't quite meet my expectations.
But if 7.3 is like 7.1, I'll end up having everything done within the first week, and then I'm in my (unfortunately) normal thing lately of standing there scratching my head going "now what?"
Would have been nice to see at least Beastmaster added on. I'll reserve my judgement for the Deep Dungeon until I see it. And hey, at least there's maps for me (but I know not everyone likes those).

45 days is too short. I understand giving up plots for players who have stopped playing but 90 days should be the minimum.

Having another Deep Dungeon to team up on and solo is gonna be great too, but unfortunately this patch does not look like it's going to be a particularly content-rich environment overall sadly. And already we've seen the excuse "just go play other games" I'm tired of hearing the same old excuse rolled out time and time again, this level of content for a major patch is just not acceptable - MSQ which takes 2-3 hours to finish, an EX which will last 1-2 days at most, relic grind which will probably be tomes again and then a 2-month wait for Deep Dungeon and Cosmic Exploration update? The initial drop will barely last a week, what if I want to play this game for now rather than other games? The devs are losing themselves business by leaving this patch relatively bare bones (apart from the threat of auto-demolition if you care about your house) so I think we should be getting more for our money in all honesty, they need to think about spreading content more evenly across patches because the cadence for releasing content as it stands is poor...

EDIT: I forgot the second Alliance raid but that will take 1-2 hours at most first time through, then you just do it weekly if you want the loot from it... and Unreal but again that doesn't take very long, I want to see implementation of more long-term grinds, but the way they did it with Cosmic Exploration and Occult Crescent wasn't ideal to say the least...

Yeah but that makes it kinda worse..

with 7.3 we get one new dungeon, one alliance raid and one unreal trial..

at least a month later we get the cosmic expedition update..
so that kinda stretches the MSQ content..
If you don't wanna grind the new EX-Trial, you mostly do the expert roulette most of the time and once a week the new alliance raid..

If you're not interested in crafting (which some ppl are cause they think it's boring) you don't get anything..

I was expecting a new variant/criterion dungeon and a new chaotic raid. Maybe they didn't announce everything yet but it seems like slim pickings again.

Also no word on beastmaster or changes to housing. When do we get the item limit increase and larger interiors?

This is very much where I'm coming from.

It's not like I want to be married to the game. I barely log on outside raids or to do things randomly just for fun, I play other things.

And I don't want to constantly HAVE to log on. I just think a patch cycle should be broken like how it was in 7.2

Because this patch had

New MSQ, New Dungeon, New Trial (that's all week 1 stuff) + New normal raid yipee

next week was EX so you do EX for a week.

Next week Savage starts yippee you do savage for a bit or the New Unreal.

(pause) (doing savage)

New cosmic exploration woohoo (still doing EX's and Savage)

enjoying cosmic exploration (still doing savage)

doing a bit more cosmice exploration. (still doing savage)

(pause) (doing savage)

Occult crescent! Oh wow this is fun! (Doing savage)

Still leveling jobs in OC yay! (doing savage)

getting my relic, leveling other phantom jobs a bit (doing savage)

That's sort of what I want for patches... I want bursts of things to do that don't necessarily obligate me to have to log in.

The patch is awesome for crafters I suppose since they get one more Beast Tribe and Planet for Cosmic Exploration - And I will be engaging with that content. At least Cosmic anyway for a bit.
But I can't say the same for Deep Dungeon. I've never really even gotten to a top floor of a DD before. I've at most poked my head into each one.
I don't know if this Deep Dungeon with a optional Level 100 4-Man boss is going to be something that many people will even do.

It enters into that weird realm like Chaotic. For the people who did Chaotic - supposedly loved it but it came with all these flaws of being a PF exclusive content with all the problems of PF.
The New DD is asking you to get to the highest floor... I mean maybe that can work but it's been geared towards solo players for so long iunno. I don't think that carries you through a patch. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe the Relic in some way requires you to do the deep dungeon that might change my opinion. (I'd like for one new Variant/Criterion to be in here with some gear or beastmaster)

I hope they seriously take to heart increasing the time limit for Cos Ex duties. Having... what was it... 5 minutes for gatherer collectables is the thing that made me quit Cos Ex. Doesn't really matter seeing as I'm taking an extended hiatus, but hopefully if I choose to come back, that won't be a problem.

Yeah, I agree.

Not only for the reasons mentioned above but because they took up literally 1/3rd or so of the Live Letter answering feedback about current content. They mentioned housing only in passing and I'm sure there's content they simply didn't have time to touch on. Take a breath and give them a little grace until the next Live Letter. THEN you can go off if you really need to.

I am hoping beyond hope that them not mentioning an ultimate was just a fluke. Those are pretty much the only thing that keep me playing, and also the only reason I run savage tiers outside of being convinced by friends.
