They should just remove the overworld at this point. It provides nothing of value and removing it would push people into the things that matter, namely PF and DF.

I'm glad the dailies are like this. Why?
Because dailies are tedious any way you paint them. The fact of them being daily makes them a chore that you get sick of. You aren't there for the daily. You're there for the reward, to get it out of the way, so you can do what you actually want to do.
So making them where I don't have to do "combat" with an enemy that doesn't pose a threat anyway saves me time.
The only way I could imagine a daily being exciting is if they had the aesthetics of an FF16 hunt battle. But this would still probably get tedious if you had done it lots of times or are intentionally doing easy stuff because you're tired.
They're easier than other dailies from other MMOs I've played, esp if you've unlocked flying in the area. I've been working on 2 tribal societies and glad it'll be over soon in a few days now.
I am on this camp, I never played a game with good dailies, no matter how engaging the content is on paper, the sheer repetition will make them start to grate on you a week in at most, so I prefer short and sweet over anything else, the sooner it is done, the sooner I can do what I actually want to do.
Daily quests of any type are engagement bait to keep people subscribed. You can choose not to do them if they bother you that much. Just be glad SE doesn't pull WoW's old trick of putting useful gear, recipes, and/or enchantments behind reputation grinds to force raiders to do them.
Dailies are one of the things I hate the most, and I generally feel like the game would be so much better if they got rid of them. We have trusts now, new players don't NEED vets to do the content with them. And making the argument counter doesn't make sense for a million reasons, at least not without admitting we need more traditional MMO aspects.
OMG I hated this one so much. Walk through half of sylph territory with 0 chance to not be detected by whatever annoying mob gets in the way.
Personally I'm fully ok with the tribe (or whatever they're called nowadays) dailies. You do a handful of quests each day, fill up a bar, get some more tidbits of story, XP, a Triple Triad card, a minion, and finally a mount. That's my sort of progression, and I like it.
Oh you weren’t around when the only beast tribes were sylphs and amaljaa.
