This is like people "transvestigating" literally every woman with a prominent chin that isn't super pointed. She looks perfectly fine for a teenage girl.

what did you really expect from wotc.
Idk if l will buy this. I can't see its potential in cedh
I’ve seen better art by casual fans.
The art style matters because you want the viewer of the thing to be able to tell if it's a boy or a girl or not. Alisaie's face in that image looks more like it should have been used for Alphinaud rather than his sister.
A great example is how in XIV, from a distance both the twins looks completely identical, but if you get up close. You can point out subtle, but obvious differences in their appearances.
Alisaie in game has more prominent lips, eyelashes and softer eye shape compared to her brother, who has more muted features in the same parts to show which is a boy and which one is a girl.
All this WoTC card makes me think of is that one line in Endwalker where Estinien mistakes Alisaie for Alphinaud and thinks how "he" became more rugged. xD
wait was this whole thing about how she looks?
I've never played the card game but I thought it had to do with that maybe the card wasn't that good or what people wanted
Oh I think the card looks pretty good, I do think her face is more angular than normal, but that's just a somewhat different art style expressing itself, and it was an easy think to heckle, so I took the shot, but I didn't mean anything by it, then some tools who make "culture war" their entire personality thought I was serious, I suppose I should know better than make a joke for the sake of the joke in the internet.
It should also be noted that the MtG card artstyle is wildly inconsistent. You have gorgeous art made by someone like Anna Podedworna and on the other you have anime looking cards that wouldn't be out of place in Yugioh.
