not enjoying the game because dynamis is dead

Honestly, this whole game is like this. Granted, I am on Dynamis as well, but I've been on different datacenters recently as a player, and it's just socially dead. I joined FC after FC, and I just feel like nobody actually plays this game or enjoys playing it. They can't be. Whenever you interact with them, they're misrable. When you're in their FC's, they don't interact with you at all. Nobody plays together, and it just feels like any social aspect I could get from this game is a corpse in its grave. And why? Why is this game so anti-social? You'd think a broken clock is right twice a day. I'd find something like anything resembling people who enjoy playing this game, and you'd be wrong. I've spent the better part of 3 or 4 years looking. Failed attempt to failed attempt.

I hate y'all. I really, really hate y'all. You talk it up. Everyone loves you, and you got all these friends, but where are they? I'm certainly not finding them. And I'm at my whits' end.

I'm currently in an FC. Nice people can't fault them, but they are never ever on. Decent folks, but I didn't join their FC to interact only with them on Discord. I'm tired of it. How hard is it to find people who want to run regular raids, alliance raids, roulettes, treasure maps, or pvp? It feels impossible.

Anyway, that's my rant about it. I can't leave until May 20th, and honestly, what's the point?

This is pretty much MMO in general, bit more widespread in games like WoW or XIV. Best communities I can recall as an MMO gamer is City of Heroes & FFXI. PSO2 was somewhere in between WoW/XIV & CoH/XI.

DCUO had the best raid community because no one ever talked, but got the job done with A1 efficiency. IT was like mute intercourse or something.......

I really can't see Dynamis ever filling up given that it hasn't already.

Why don't people from this message board start a FC on Dynamis?

It's apathy, which is much more effective at permanently driving people away from a game than something like hatred. One of the only correct things Bungie's executives ever said is that apathy will kill your game, and Dawntrail has been very effective at inspiring apathy.

Clearly they're missing the 3 signatures required to start a new FC :v

Making a new DC when there’s cross-DC travel but no cross-DC Duty Finder, Party Finder, or communication was a mistake.

And with how it can be challenging for people to find a FC that suits them, we really shouldn’t be restricted to FCs on our character’s home world. Ideally cross-DC functionality would be good enough that it would be viable to join one on a different DC as well.

Last time I let my guard down and started talking with somebody for real was like 2 years ago in Eureka. 5 minutes in he told me that he’s high on drugs/xanax. Yeah, go figure. Haven’t talked with anyone since other than hey, bye, go, yes, no.

Bottom line: just play WoW or go solo.

It's just depressing. I've been on both Aether and Crystal recently to play with friends who have since quit, but it's all the same. There is no right choice anymore. And if the biggest DC and the most casual one didn't fix my problem, I don't see Primal being my fix. I might just go away. Someone who's been playing since the closed beta in 2013 just quiting. All because the game got too damn anti-social, rude, or apathetic. Either way, it's a joke.

I try my best every day to make or join PFs on Dynamis, play music for people, interact with people, and especially help the rare new players over on Seraph, but it certainly is difficult. FC recruitment is slow going, though that could also be my own fault, lol! I don't know what the best solution is, but if there's enough people in here all saying the same thing, then perhaps we ought to try to get in contact and organize things together! Maybe I'm being overly hopeful, here, but, eh, worth a try x)
