will 2d grass kill ffxiv?

Grass has flat sides.. I don't want rounded crapy looking grass that impacts the performance where it is needed. Take into account when it is on the PS3 they will ahve to tweak it even more to run decent. IF you are going to be staring at grass up close all day, then who is going to trust you to get tasks done in events?

"Oh I'm sorry the party whipe I was starring at the grass, wishign it was more 3-D"....

Definitely quitting if i can't have my rainbow pooping grass of awesome.

Sometimes I hate the FF community so much. This is one of those times.

Small details matter. If you're constantly shunted out of immersion by jagged landscapes and poorly textured grass, then yes I would say it would hurt XIV.

they improved the grass for the new MoP expansion, yet had 2-3 million more subs with the grass looking like it does in the screenshot.

so that's weird.

Really? So "poorly textured grass" is just going to kill the entire experience for you? None of the other graphics changes matter because you'll just be so entranced by the grass. Sorry but if you're shunted out of immersion by the grass we've seen, you've got bigger problems. You should probably just quit the game now if GRASS is that big of a deal to you.

Small details DO matter though. What about all of the other small details you're ignoring so you can keep complaining about the grass?
