Deep dungeon portrait kits

I think the clear token being able to be used to buy the second kit or being able to be traded for potsherds is a good idea because it lowers the influence of rng on your farm. I got no potsherds on a recent run of potd floor 111-120 on solo mch opening every chest. I got only got 4 potsherds on a recent trio run of Heaven on High 21-100. Meanwhile I have 4 of the HoH clear tokens sitting on a retainer with nothing else to buy with them.

I repeat my complaint is about ignoring the actual reward token and making the kit cost what could be fuel for regular runs. Especially with precedent of Eureka Orthos doing this properly.
Its easy to say 'i earned 12 potsherds doing my run'. But each time it would have to be followed by "i spent 10 of those for potions" if you wanted to actually do the content more.

When you've done it as long as me, yeah it is actually easy. It still has RNG but I typically do not end my runs with neutral or negative amounts of potions. Like I said I wouldn't have been opposed to having clear tokens used but that ship has sailed. Keep in mind I found that many shards on my solo descent as a BLACK MAGE, i.e. a job with no sustain of its own besides a 2 minute shield. Edit: I also did not spend that many shards on potions.

It's still not difficult enough to accomplish, taking more than a few days of work for only so many sets a day.

HoH though I have zero use for clear tokens. Orthos will likely have the same problem if I spent more time there than PoTD.

Edit: Keep in mind they are 5 and 10 potsherds, 15 total. Just 15. I'm just being my usual blunt self so this isn't some kind of slander or insult thing. You know as well as I do they aren't going to change the currency used. The only thing you can do is just keep doing more runs if you aren't potion efficient.

Palace is always going to be in a weird spot because its potsherds arent as grindable as the other two, but nothing about PoTD is like the other two. MCH is seen as an easy option but honestly other jobs are probably better about saving potsherds since you wont be seeing them much from chests in the regular sets.

Its not about difficulty of farming 10 potsherds, but the principle of things.
I can assure you i dont lack the experience to get them, you can consult chaos leaderboards if you do not believe.

It just does not feel right when EO's version costs an orthos tomestone and it already requires you to reach final floor.
Its the same thing as materia being in both hoard loot pool and being purchasable for potsherds. Its bad game design.

Yeah, palace is the oddball out of the current three. I'm sitting on a glass pumpkin even. The other deep dungeons have a static progression where if you clear, you can buy it with the clear token. Palace is entirely RNG save for 50 and 100 (which is a minimum of... 5 sets). I mightve gotten like 12 shards that descent but it isnt always like that.

But it's just like people on the class forums and their job suggestions. I know their changes aren't ever going to happen, much like how this change isn't going to happen. They can't make basic QoL things people have been asking for years so I don't ever see them bothering with a tiny deep dungeon reward change. I imagine for some people it'll be a lot more than 1-2 descents. I have enough potsherds to buy thousands of sustaining potions but since framing kits aren't sellable... Can't just have a case of "Oh you wanna buy one? Sure."

My tiny hope is that since deep dungeon 4 is coming, they will give a tiny bit of attention to deep dungeons overall. Just like when they made auto-heal penalty enchantment affect mobs as well like a patch before Eureka Orthos. Of course the chance is slim, but it still is a chance.
