It's rather crazy.
It reminds me of campaign battles in XI, a lot of mobs pop and everyone bands together to kill them.
Over Aspected Crystals drop from the mobs too.

Again, any confirmation on how the monsters spawn? Seen multiple Atomos pop over 3 camps now but no mobs. Any thoughts?
How long does he float around in the sky before the mobs pop?
Well when I went to the camp Atomos was there doing something to the aethryte, there were no mobs, he then vanished. I was probably there about 10 minutes maybe a bit longer when he appeared again this time with mobs. I'm not sure how long exactly he sticks around. You actually seen him spawn or you arrived and he was there? The mobs came as soon as Atomos popped.
I just saw him spawn and hang around, with no add mobs popping.
Thanks, maybe it has to do with the amount of teleports to the ather or perhaps something else.
This is just one instance but spawned @Brittlebark 12:00 game time, depoped at 15:17 with no mob spawn /cry
sometimes he spawns with mobs, sometimes without, sometimes he just seems to not spawn at all (or briefly for a second as if glitched. When hes there with no mobs, teleport to another of his camps, ive found mobs that way
Does killing just one mark the quest for completion?
For the record I've tele'd to all camps upon a pop and no mobs have been at either- not sure if bug or just they were killed before. I highly doubt they were killed before I got to them though. Just seems at times they might not spawn. Otherwise perhaps we're overlooking a spawning condition
To get quest completion one mob killed will do, you can even receive the quest completed while your dead. BUT your party must have claim.
