and yet, some make it to 1000 pages... and they dont even acknowledge it with any kind of response, and 1000 pages is not pure hatred... much of it is simpley asking "where are they going with this role"

Another by the numbers LL, feedback acknowledge nowhere in sight.
New content coming and it looks like they'll not change the way feedback is collected.
If it sticks the landing (and I hope it does) we're in luck else I don't think SQEX is capable or willing of fast action to salvage this.
8.0 job rework is coming and we're completely blind to it, meaning it's a coin toss and hope for the best.
It really feels that players have nothing interesting to bring to table. =(
And that's exactly the point I made in OP, we're only getting a glimpse of things when it's too late to course correct or apply changes based on feedback, worse yet media train is just a hype machine where most influencers don't want to piss of SQEX overlords.
They're going the same way they went for years and look where it brought us.
I think test realms would go a long way in terms of bridging the gap with some features - particularly the graphics updates. There are threads in multiple languages detailing issues they have with the current character models in detail. The devs made a post about how they were going to try and fix that months ago and tomorrow is the first time any players will get to see what they mean. If there was a test realm, people could log in as their characters and report issues as they experience them. Devs could try fixes and get immediate feedback rather than all this piecemeal stuff. The point about Island Sanctuary is dead on - maybe that could've turned into something people still want to play.
The forums were made so that players could leave feedback but in its current state, it's a terrible place for it. There's a toxicity around here that makes productive discussion difficult and little incentive to change that. But where else is there? Reddit? Twitter?
I feel like they used to be more involved with the community and that's been lost since the Dawntrail launch. Major issues were acknowledged on the lodestone and more effort was taken to show off different upcoming content. We get two live letters per patch cycle now because there's so much time between them, but what is the benefit of that? Plenty of players genuinely want to engage with this game and make it better, but it feels like we're being talked at rather than with.
As for whether 100 page long threads get a response, I'll believe that when I see it...
I'm shocked they don't exist. How can they justify not having a beta region for changes that impact the core design of the game? I could not imagine running a project where I don't have a UAT or Beta region so stakeholders can provide feedback on the product before rolling it out.
Going to bump this one up.
Could some baffling decisions for Occult Crescent been avoided if we had a proper, structured feedback channel?
We had Diadem, Eureka and Bozja and yet they still don't know what they did right...
