After EW and DT basically destroying all lore threads, I have zero interest in seeing any story in the FF14 universe.
"Oh let's go back to the Fifth Astral Era and have a game about Mhach and Amdapor" --> Who cares?? Apparently the Void was all about Golbez being depressed and summoning voidsents is just opening portals to the 13th and ... etc. They tied up literally every loose end in EW and DT, and worst of all made the Twelve just a bunch of Hydaelyn followers who want to seppuku so the religions in FF14 don't make any sense now either. There's no mystery left in the FF14 universe anymore. People think Ishikawa was a great writer, but she cannot write a good story without destroying the worldbuilding and leaving behind a mess that can no longer be a foundation for a good story in the future.

Damn this is the first time I've seen such a scathing review of Ishikawa's work (not that I disagree, I have only just started Endwalker but I didn't like Shadowbringer at all for sidelining and reducing all of Eorzea's political storylines to feels and Ascians all along).
