Overall Class Question

I have 38 leves at the moment, think that will get me very far?

I guess I could level my Lalafell, she has 99.

i felt like mages were a bit slower only cause you're limited by MP (so lots of pauses, which sucks for chaining) and you're pretty squishy, esp as a THM. Something that doesn't need MP and that can just stream damage output seems way easier to grind with, imho^ ^

Leves do give very good EXP.

If you're doing leves, then it probably doesn't really matter what class you do them on.

If you're trying to pull a lot of "wild" monsters for EXP linking, then it really helps to have interrupt mitigating abilities (Stoneskin and Sanguine Rite) if you are trying to do it as a mage class. As a mage you can't move around much, plus spells take a few seconds to go off and can be interrupted easily.

The fastest way to level to 30 would be to shout in Ul'Dah, "I'm an attractive single female looking to make friends, I prefer guy friends over woman." You will get two or three desperate sounding tells. Then slowly try persuading each one into power leveling you. Chances are pretty high that at least one will agree.
