Scion presence is something I am mixed on, I adore them, but I acknowledge that having this gaggle of absurdly powerful and competent warriors around at all times makes writing much more complicated, it's easy to write around WoL, they are ultimately one person who can only do so much, having 8 other not-quite-WoL-level-but-pretty-dang-close people hanging around makes the whole "Why didn't they just solve everything" thing much more difficult to justify.

I mean, you can always just have them stand around with their thumbs up their asses while the bad guy resurrects himself. I'm sure that'll work just fine.

I'm also a Wuk enjoyer. I like Wuk and I like Dawntrail. Definitely one the better expansions for me. All the conversations after like day 3 haven't been the most fun and are kind of tiring so I'm just enjoying my time in the corner for the most part now.

To me, Wuk Lamat is what Lyse could've been if they preserved her silly quirks from her older behavior, and that alone is a good sign of improvement when it comes to characterization. The game is willing to have a character who is young and humorously gleeful, while simultaneously getting to grow and learn from their naivety- I'm a big fan of her "how I learned to defeat the enemy with incredible violence" conclusion, something which many people unfortunately refused to understand because they're too busy mocking her. The writing is right there! It was always there!

I think some are also upset because she is the main character and you are watching thing on the side too for me I enjoyed her yes some moment I was like eh?

But ya I enjoy DT the first half for me was the strongest learning a new culture new character I hated the scion being there more then anything else and I feel like the last LV of the msq should have been post game too but I am getting side tracked!


Wuk Lamar for me is amazing I felt what she wanted us to feel really well done and the love she have for her country is a huge part of her and I love it! selfless and see other before herself a real lawful good character!

I liked Wuk Lamat, I enjoy the character, even if some parts are poorly written. The concep itself has potential to get better over patches

HOWEVER, i didn't like the voice acting, the audio mixing was wacky, and a failure at some points (like when she screams from the top of tuliyolal, and the line is delivered as if the VA was speaking very loudly into the mic and not actually yelling)

And then I liked the voice acting even less when I heard about the whole meltdown the actor had on twitter about people criticizing their work

Im definetly running with voices in JP from 7.1 onwards, as much of a detriment that may be for me (Although a spanish translation would change that ;-;)

as a french person trust me more then half the character sound way better in JP

I do agree allot of wuk hate myself included is from the very very poor levels of writing. Dawn trail writes like the lowest effort of an isekai shonen manga which is awkard in my eyes but i am happy to say. If you like wuk more power to you but i think they need to reel her back erenvell and krile story were kinda ruined by bad writing and the need to shove wuk lamat into their plot to fill in some reason to over expose her.

I appreciate that she's going to allow me to get to battle content a bit quicker since I'll be skipping the story until we're done with her. Thanks Llama Cheese!
