Well it’s called content drought and back they increase the wait time between patches because of corona so we get polished content. Expect you know bugs and stuff not working and we are not in corona times anymore so maybe they should do old patch times. I mean 52 bucks until new content is out and for unpolished content is kinda uff. And I do play wow in the meantime and I actually have too heal as a healer. Yeah maybe class balancing is not that great but the classes do have good Identity.

I love how people think if they just ignore the problems the games have then suddenly they won’t be problems anymore rather than just festering beneath the surface and making people angrier over time

This has been a problem since like 2018 where we dumped “experience 1.23b again in a memory from uldah” to “talk to 3 NPC’s and get a furniture item nobody wants”

I like that the seasonal stuff is short and sweet. I don't want in-depth limited time events that cause FOMO. If they're going to make something elaborate and special it should be saved for things that are permanently in game, not stuff that we'll get to do once. The only way I'd be ok with more time going into it is if they let you get the items the next time the event comes around, and we know they're not going to do that because they put the seasonal stuff in the cash shop.

Its pretty obvious that events exist solely for future mogstation updates.

Yeah so many people. I've had to move DC. lost friends, sold my estate. This pissing around emptying retainers and stuff when actually they COULD just put all my housing stuff in a container for me so its not so painful. So at last I can unsub!
I put a similar post up as was just met with "There isn't a problem because *I'm* happy though!"
When all these people know damn well the game is a shadow of what is was and while it 'continues' like this it IS dying. Don't 'assume' this will change. People thought that at end of EW and look what happened really. I played this for four years and it was 'not' always like this. SQX shouldn't assume we are going to buy into the next XVIIIMXLMFCK MMO .
I'm on these forums because its more engaging than the game.
The only people still around is increasingly becoming people like us who because of one mental health abnormality or another have attachment/identity issues, about what for most people is just a game of pixels on a screen and a cold keyboard and mouse, that they stop playing when its not fun.
This 'screams' resource issues. Devs don't have the time, and/or are just burned out.
But hey everything is fine.

"short and sweet" is what they used to be. THIS though is something new. THIS is a 'non' event. A total 'non' event.

People are talking about a little bit more and not full blown week long time investments you know, stuff that actually was in this game in the past.
We are talking about the Halloween dungeon that one year where you had to dodge ghosts for example.
This is still an MMO after all.
FOMO is so inflationary nowadays I think people don’t even know anymore what it means.
Having to do more than a single quest line to get rewards is not FOMO.


Ever since post EW my friend list is completely grey because all of them became disillusioned with the game.
It’s really sad to see other people celebrating how this game has turned out nowadays just because they can’t be bothered to play more than 20 minutes a week while still wanting all of the rewards.

Oh hey, no "it has always been this way" argument yet. Yeah, the events suck. Honestly, the rewards from them also suck lately. I tend to completely forget about them half the time. I wish it wasn't the case but at this point it's no surprise.

Pretty sure FFXI has better holiday events than FFXIV. They used to be way better and look like they put some effort into them. Think they must be running out of ideas and that's why the game is getting more and more boring.

I miss splashing holy waters.
