I'd like it if they'd let you register "safe" locations so you don't have to reset every time or buy a token.
But then again they're making sales on these tokens so I can't blame them for turning a blind eye on this subject.

Heck the bed.
Thanks for the replies guys. This has got to be a genius way to make money for SE or something. I'm not going to waste $10 for a security token just because I'm annoyed by their "security" feature. There are better ways to implement this than doing it the way they did it. Oh well, I'll just rotate passwords.
I wish everyone who refused to buy a token, yet complain about the security measures in place to protect those who don't have one, got their accounts hacked. It would be sweet and delicious justice.
I work for a company which has recently started being more strict about their security policies for customer accounts. Even prior to doing so we get people calling about not being able to recover their accounts because they forgot the information, or they put something like a false name, but when asked the name on the account they say their real one. And we get people pretty much every day with a compromised account of some time.
There may or may not be a better way to do it. But until people in general start wising up and realizing account security is the CUSTOMERS responsibility, they're going to have to become more and more strict about it.
To the post below the one I quoted. I personally wouldn't wish people's accounts be compromised myself. However I do see the value in it for the people who call in, having forgotten their details, and expecting us to hand it to them on a silver platter because they say something like "I give you my permission, it's ok" or "you know i'm the owner, cmon" I get those types of calls nearly every day.
Only people who have very limited knowledge of downloading things get hacked, and with how unpopular this game it I doubt that there is anything out there targeting this game... So don't get your hopes up. That's a real crappy thing to wish on anyone though...
You can't really blame SE for putting in a security system that is designed to stop multiple IP's from logging into your character, if you have to do it by a token or put up with it.
I've had it trigger once on me after I reset my router since my ISP likes large IP address range, but I'd rather deal with it as an added layer of security.
