The quality of the MSQ usually makes me forgive a lot of the blandness when it comes to class design in this game, but Dawntrail was awful and I honestly can't even muster up enough will to continue playing so I've cancelled my sub today. I'll keep a lookout for updates to see if anything changes but I doubt it'll be any time soon that my interest is reignited. Besides the MSQ my biggest complaints are class design being homogenous, especially tanks. We basically only have 1 1/2 tanks with different flavours of special effects. DPS is better but they all do still feel very samey. Dungeon design is just bland, there really is nothing exciting going on in these things anymore and without any big story reveals it really shows how boring it is to run them.
I didn't even try the EXs this time around cause I didn't care so I won't really comment on them. Raid was fine too I guess, I liked the music. I guess what would really entice me to come back is if the classes got the same sort of flavour they have in PVP in PVE. Give me a Dragoon that can jump to avoid deadly mechanics. Lets see a reaper that can mass CC mobs to interrupt multiple casts, a DRK that actually sacrifices health and defensives to do more damage. That would be interesting. Until then though I'mma just play something else.
