Positives

As much as I hate the MSQ I really like the lore it gave us.

The possibility of other rejoined shards having survivors somewhere, Azem‘s key, or a being that might have something to do with cultures across the shards being similar in some aspects.
It also went more into the subject of souls which in my opinion, is the biggest thing in the ff14 universe. If the writers are good they could use the memory thing from DT and spin it into a real thread for us like for example an endless version of the WoL.

I also liked the music so far.

Pictomancer is fun as are the dungeons.

Arcadion is spectacular. The music is 90% bangers. I love the visual aesthetic of every zone that isn't the last. More dye channels, heck yeah. New glams, yes please. I like the boss fights! Some of the side-stories are pretty fun.

My list…
- Everything about Pictomancer… the gameplay, the sound effects, the job quests!
- Lots of great new music! Half my orchestrion playlist is filled with DT music now… I love the new end boss theme (Pathmaker), A Trail Unending (Alexandria dungeon music), Skyruin, Give It All from Arcadion M4, and a bunch of others like Empyrean Peak and Windswept Echoes.
- I love the new zones, in particular the blue forest near Mamook.
- While I enjoyed the Tural world-building of the MSQ, the last part was what I loved most: Lala lore, Krile’s story (which I really hope will be highlighted in the patches), Azem’s key and all the possibilities it brings…
- The new Country housing skin which imo turns any plot into a dream plot!
- The Arcadion raid series… the characters, the mechanics and the music!
- The new Ex trial wings!
- Most of the AF gear this time around was amazing… the gear and the zones got the best of the graphic update
- And of course, double dyes!

Still looking forward to seeing what Cosmic Exploration will be like, as well as the new Bermuda Triangle zone, and how many extra item slots we’re actually going to get for housing!

- The music is great, well, most of it anyway
- The graphics update is nice. Although it is a bit hard to tell sometimes if something was even really "updated", while some other things either lost their shine or flashbang you.
- I haven't touched Viper and Picto, but they seem fun, although I think some balancing of their DPS compared to the other jobs in their categories needs some work still
- All of the areas look nice
- Two dyes, although some of the things that can have two dyes have very...odd choices for their 2nd dye option; like some random small things you're never going to actually notice for example, so still needs some work
- The dungeons are great this time around and, personally, don't put me to sleep like Endwalkers literally did
- The Trials are also great this time around, forcing players to have to actually pay attention now, hoping the post-patch trials keep it up
- While only the 1st tier, Arcadion has started out excellently. Hope tiers 2 and 3 either stay as good or get even better
- Like the Lalafell lore, even if it seems like it was kind of rushed and just thrown in there for padding, but that's more a overall writing/story issue with Dawntrail

And we still got a ways to go with more stuff coming Cosmic Exploration, the new criterion dungons, the new Eureka/Bozja Zone, ultimates, Beastmaster, and more.

I'm liking the expansion a lot more now that I'm done the terrible MSQ and am away from Wuk Lamat.

- Pictomancer is great fun and creative.
- Visual upgrades are nice.
- I like the new skills and new capstone abilities for all the jobs I've played.
- Raid series is great.
- Dungeons are fun.
- A few great new soundtracks.

Everything about the expansion is great except for the story.

The Art, Raid, and Dungeon Teams are hard carrying this expansion on their backs.

Hopefully the Writing Team gets the kick in the nuts they need to get back in the game for the Post Patches.

Sadly I won't ever get to hear it in-game as I don't go near Savage content.

the music graphics dungeons and most of the level 99 AF gear are nice however the rest of dawntrail is several steps in the wrong direction, for the first time in my 12 or so years of playing iam actually contemplating if i wanna continue to sub or not, i havent even logged into the game in the last 2 weeks (and no iam not burnt out)

unfortunately i own a house so guess i'll just have to stay subbed or i'll lose it and the millions of gil worth of furniture i placed inside

Music is generally middling with like 2 standouts i can think of.
Graphical update is great besides FSR/DLSS woes.
Job armor is whatever, im never wearing them besides maybe BLM because i dont play the 3 other casters.
Zones are uninspired, Deus Ex:HR detroit...sorry Living Memory is ass and S9 sucks even more.
Leveling dungeons are at their easiest, no harsh welcome like SHB and EW. Experts are bog standard.
First raid tier uhhhhhhh whatever.

- I loved all the new lore, especially about the new shard and more clarification on how souls work. Also I really liked the exploration of certain philosophical themes in the last area and overall the lore implications and hopefully everything that will follow up next with the whole key thing. I am personally hoping for a new cross-dimensional villain/rival (maybe? please?)

- The class armor sets are so great! They look awesome! Even though i don't like some dye channel choices (especially for the GNB set).

- I loved all the Arcadion music tracks as well as some others tracks

- The Vrtra scene *chefs kiss*

- Bakool Ja Ja, i hope we see more of him. Even though i personally found his character arc a bit rushed, i definitely want to see him explored more.

- GNB plays a lot better compared to Endwalker, especially AOE rotation

- I am very excited for all the updates to come: Especially Deep Dungeon, Exploration Zone, Cosmic Exploration, PVP and Variant Dungeon etc.

- Two dye channels are awesome! But i still want more gear to be updated with dye channels.

- I love the graphic updates. I am not even using the Nvidia filters anymore, to enhance the sharpness or colors. Everything looks fine only using the games engine.
