I would suggest they keep only Dynamis and Oceania's doors open until they figure out the technology to create cross-DC party finder.

This way Dynamis has a chance to grow, and friends who are on completely different regions can still visit each other on OCE. Both DCs could use some friendly travelers to help with the DF queues, which would help in the long run to get players to stick around, and grow their communities in time.

I am only speaking for NA, but I am sure EU's new Shadow DC could use the same treatment, and whichever datacenter is the lowest populated in the JP region.

They mention its possible to do cross-PF, but it would be a huge challenge, and that sounds like it could be years before its added to the game. (I could be wrong though.) Might as well be smart with the system, and help the communities out with these sort of restrictions for the time being.

Indeed, I'm also from Jenova, and I wish I could be there, but I'm being pushed away indefinitely, even though I've waited to be eligible for transfer, only to be met with a closed door. Imagine being in the shoes of someone with hundreds of friends across various servers outside of Dynamis, with big plans for all kinds of community events and high-end content, all of which are impossible to achieve now. The abrupt implementation of this system, without any warning or chance to move to the server where I belong, has spoiled the game for me. I can't fulfill any of my reasons for playing while stuck in a place I don't want to be. So perhaps those from populated servers, unaffected by this significant issue, could refrain from commenting since it doesn't concern you. It only reveals that you're looking down from a lofty perch with narrow vision.

Shadow doesn't even allow character creation, so there's no solo players to pick up to fill pfs. you either go there as full 8, or you dont go there at all. It's functionally worthless right now.

Dynamis though, I honestly thought that was smart and the way to go when the first Dawntrail limitations were a thing, since they actually... you know, have players :D

I wasn't sure if Shadow was released or not. I haven't been paying attention to that. XD By chance do they have a date when it'll be open for players? I am sure it would need the same treatment like Dynamis when it comes to DC travel.

Yeah, the start of Dawntrail was a good choice they made for travelers. Statics still could meet up on Dynamis to raid, and people could meet up to do other activities. It helps that community a lot.
