Good lord you have to be a whole new level of lazy to complain about having to click an aetheryte.
My brother in Christ it's clicking 2 buttons
It's clicking two buttons yes, and it's not a huge deal... but for some of us that's also a loading screen which can last a few seconds, and for me personally up to 10.
And if you have to get there often, then it gets somewhat frustrating.
However, a tip for the gatherers/crafters turning in collectibles: just teleport to Eulmore or Radz to turn it in, those collectible appraisers work with the new stuff too. It's literally only for combat gear upgrades that you have to be in S9.
Also a thought... it is kinda noticeable how ShB and EW both put you practically right next to the tome exchanges and collectible appraisers and such and all that for endgame stuff. Still had to walk a bit, but it was within sight.
Stormblood however, had quite a large walk from the aetheryte, or you did have to use the aethershards to get around Rhalgr's Reach. BUT, you could also use mounts to get around.
Heavensward had Idyllshire, also didn't put you right next to necessary shops. But you could also use mounts.
So since S9 has more in common with Idyllshire and RR, maybe just enable mounts so people don't have to get into another loading screen, which actually feels better for gameplay than another loading screen (even if it's the same time investment)
As a fellow crafter/gatherer, I agree that the placement of the main crystal is inconvenient. Old Sharlayan and Radz were both right next to the main points of interest (market board and collectible/raid turn in), so why did they undo this decision this expansion? The MB in Tuli is also inconvenient. It wouldn’t be as big of a deal if they hadn’t done it so much better literally one expansion ago.
For the one in Solution 9 they really need to increase its range just a bit... they didnt think this trough or something...
You still have to walk up to the edge to be in range.
Easy solution: instead of making a whole 3D town that feels like a place, just don't have that and instead have all of Solution 9 be a menu. Then everything can be pure function without any of that form to get in the way...and it would save a bunch of development time, too!
ReAl GaMeRs just use eternity ring.
