We have not had a bad experience with on yet, so I say bring on more.

"High fantasy mixed with modern tech because of an ancient hyper-advanced civilization that used magic to invent Modern San Francisco" has been a staple of Final Fantasy for decades. I don't see a problem with it.
Get ready because if the new exploration zone is like Bozja (And it could bozja story end on a cliffhanger) its gonna be imperials again tho I really don't know how they will bring back the 4th Legion after EW events but Legions do work independently and some will probably still fight regardless to take back what Garlemald technically lost you know a kind of reverse Stormblood when its them crying to kick us out their lands
future tech has been a staple of FF since the first FF. literally had a high tech sky fortress and giant robots.
Yes, yes we do.
Sticking to medieval stuff only is boring.
Maybe it's time to go back in time to the stone ages, like how in Live-a-Live you have the MC and World where they literally can't speak outside of grunts and what nots. Can you imagine that? we'll need a lot of voice acting though, because you need the voice acting to convey the message since no one can talk. I think it'd be neat.
I dont mind hyper advance civilizations. Plus i got to see a roomba in ff14...i need that to complete me. Im fine with that this game is sci-fi so if your shocked by that check out ff15 and ff13 ff7 ff8 and the list goes on hell kh world that never was.So yeah im completely fine with it. Means were close to getting modern furniture.
Of all the reflections the Lightning one was the most primed for a hyper-tech civilisation so I'll give them a reluctant pass but it will be awkward if they keep doing it. In many respects the entire plotline of FF14 is the ruin of ancient civilisations and slow recovery so thematically it IS on brand but yes it can be over used in spite of that.
