Sorry, but with the way this game releases its story, it means we are not going to get anything substantial until the NEXT expansion in a couple years. When you are releasing story that slowly you better be sure the big expansion beats are good.
I'm sorry you didn't like it, but for everyone person who hated it another loved it. It's somewhat divisive but the real vibe here from almost everyone not on one extreme end or the other is "I liked X part but didn't really like Y part as much and I'm looking forward to where we go from here"
The premise of this post is so ridiculous for a relatively well received expansion. Review and possibly replace the entire writing team? Laughable. DT caused damage to the brand? Out of touch with reality.
You guys are all existing in an echo chamber where the vast majority of people who liked Dawntrail are too busy playing the game and enjoying it to be bothered with writing a steam review to counter you weirdos or come to the forums to engage with these disingenuous posts that offer no real criticism, certainly nothing actionable, and only demand apologies for their perceived personal slights against them by a writing team who did their jobs, and did them well, in a video game. This is the most main character syndrome I think I've ever seen and reminds me why I never come to MMORPG forums anymore.
I didn't like it so someone should apologize and get fired over it! T.T mehh
Yoshi P: "Want a good expansion? Go replay Shadowbringers!"
It's a shame. Dawntrail in German and French were great pieces however.
(and most people enjoyed DT so you'd be surprised of what overall feedback reaches the dev's ears compared to what people over here would think)
The only disaster is the persons who made this thread.
DT being "The start of a new story arc" doesn't justify badly written characters and badly written stories.
The entire first half of the expansion, the entire rite of succession thing should be entirely rewritten and replaced as there is no reason for the WoL to take part in it, and they're barely even in the story to begin with.
