Unless other Final Fantasy, this one is not medieval like can be FFXVI o FFV. This one is a mix of different environments depending on continent and reflections. The one where the Void is was a medieval world apparently for example.
Oof! North American indigenous peoples are more than just «Native American» (an outdated term btw) nomadic tribes. Several groups were sedentary and North America is not just the USA. Btw the «Aztec stuff» was in North America, not South America. As for European presence in North America, the Vikings made their way there centuries before Columbus and the others that came after.
There were many cultures and civilizations is what is known today as the American continent.
Lets see here... Oh yeah. 1. Erenville being their poster boy of screeching "DON'T DEAD NAME ME!" First with Gulool Ja Ja, then his friend in Shaalaoni, then his mother. They couldn't resist even sneaking it in again when his mother was giggling on the Capybara ride, about his real name meaning "Mallard" like a duck. "I"LL THANK YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT!!!! REEE!" 2. Mamool Ja being obsessed with breeding a two-head was an obvious Eugenics and "breeding purity" jab ala Nazi Experiments. Makes sense story wise, but don't think I didn't notice it. 3.Pelupelu? People who think only of profit and such? Yeah, we get it. We know that's a "Don't be an anti-semite" message for Jewish inclusion. 4.The Yok-Huy? As if that wasn't the old "Don't invade russia in winter" story from the nazis again. 5. Iq Br'aax, making xibruq pibil was all about sharing food and spices, know they local ingredients and such, now that plays in later. Read it down a bit about the "Popcorn Bit".
Go into New Game+ and check out the NPCs In Living Memory. All but maybe 4-5 Elzen Duskwight and Erenville's mother, very "light skin tone", but these are the ones who get "wiped out." Sure we learn a bit about them, but barely anything. Oh lets not forget the popcorn bit, where their food is the only one that sucks. Which sure, is usually a funny joke on British food being bland cause they can't handle spices. Though that was definitely a dig at Europeans, not to mention all the aforementioned Archeo Alexandria. Also, just so happens the Alexandrians are the "evil ones who take souls and are an affront to nature."
There is more, but character limits. I'll say this now, i'm not against DEI or "Woke Ideology" as a whole. I only dislike SBI specifically. I didn't care about any of the stuff before Living Memory, after Living Memory though? Yeah, I realized SBI pulled their usual stunt of "DEI for all, except white people. They are bad, their culture is bad, everything they do is bad. Wipe them out." SBI is racist, misandrist, and hatful. You should see the crap they've pulled and said. They made sure to push their messages in Dawntrail.
Erenville: I don't really see the problem here. He took on a new name while abroad and finds his old name emberassing. Nothing in the game suggests that Erenville is trans but if he was, so what? I don't see any harm or reason to be upset here outside of maybe the mild annoyance of a joke that didn't land for you.
Blessed SIblings: Okay what's the problem with this? Even if this IS a direct jab at irl eugenics nazi or otherwise, so what? What exactly is the problem with this being included? We've seen a ton of genetic tinkering gone wrong with the Allagans too for years etc anyway.
Pelu Pelu: If you're the one seeing a culture focused on trade and profit and jump to 'oh these are the fantasy Jews' maybe that says more about you than the writers here.
Yok-Huy: For one thing, their defeat was because of disease specifically and not poor planning with winter supplies etc. If anything this brings to mind for me natives and colonists suffering from the diseases of the others when people started coming to the Americas, or even the War of the Worlds aliens, more so than it makes me think of nazi invasion of Russia. I think this is a big stretch.
Food: The food was 'bad' in living memory because only the memory people could taste it. Not because it was inherently 'bad.' We were just incapable of tasting it. It wasn't a 'white people food bad' thing. I could maybe see your point with Sharlayan which had notoriously bad food but nothing in DT.
White people: MOST CHARACTERS IN THE GAME INCLUDING THE SCIONS AND THE WOL PLACEHOLDER are either vaguely 'white people' or fantasy races like Hrothgar Mamool Ja etc. You have your exceptions like Raubahn and Gerolt of course. On top of that Alexandria was a vaguely European based civilization in its past, though Solution 9 is now overtly futuristic sci fi that was their origins. Yeah, a lot of the npcs there ARE going to be white. And if they weren't you'd have people along this line complaining about all the non white people in Europe anyway. Furthermore, you're forgetting the context of what Living Memory is. Their culture, their people, their civilization and history, LIVE ON in Solution 9 and Heritage Found. We didn't wipe out the white people. We just turned off the unsustainable digital afterlife.
Every single point of yours was either reading way too much into things looking for something to be upset about or completly ignoring the context of the game world.
What's really crazy is you'd think with how insane these people get over this stuff, they'd refuse to support anything remotely connected to anything "woke" but nope, here they are. It can't be THAT important to them, but you'd think their way of life was being endangered by how they talk.
