House availability on Dynamis

As much as I agree with your general sentiment here, that doesn't turn the housing system into what players should have access to. Outside of the rumors that Housing Mirage will allow players to change interior sizes (which could be a mistranslation), SE is showing no signs they intend to update housing in a way to make houses more accessible to every player regardless of home world.

There comes a point when people need to deal with the reality of a situation instead of waiting for what they want it to be. If a NA player feels that a house ownership is important to their game play, the best data center to get one is Dynamis.

Also something to keep in mind-- once the early access releases in 5 days, the 3 dc's of Aether/Primal/Crystal will be locked for traveling. So you won't be seeing anyone from other servers anytime soon (if you want to visit the main dc's). Then youre just stuck on dynamis with no one you know lol. They havent clarified how long that lockout will be for hopping datacenters (other than dynamis). I'm guessing minimum 3-6 months after DT release

Counterpoint: Transferring to Dynamis got me Shiro 46 and Lav11, and my wife got a medium in the same world. If we had to be stuck for an indefinite period with strangers to do it, we'd do it again in a heartbeat.

And there's nothing wrong with that! That's absolutely a viable option. However, for those transferring to Dynamis dc, these next few months will not be available to travel to the big 3 for the first couple months (and a lot of people are coming back to DT). I've never had issues with getting a house on any dc ive played in (whether that was Aether, Primal, Crystal, or Dynamis). Just have to know when to get in and get it lol

See this is what i meant by quitter attitude you're giving up without even trying just basically saying "bite the bullet or get nothing at all" i'm trying to advocate for something everyone can have without restriction and without needing to inconvenience yourself or others.
you might not like it or call it annoying but persistence is the key into being heard and having your concerns looked at and while i know this thread is only on the housing topic lets just for an example look at the Healer strike movement that was started and became trending this wouldn't have happened or gotten so much coverage in so short a time if people hadn't been persistent enough and i am 100% certain this strike movement has reached the eyes or ears of a developer by now who can make it a talking point at their next meeting etc. and thats all that really needs to happen for housing too is just for it to be brought up to the developers attention so that they can consider it an option they may not go thru with it thats fine if they announce that they can't thru interview or other media outlets that would be more than enough to make their stance clear but until such notice we should openly continue to bring it up at every opportunity.

Then you and anyone else following this mindset will have to come to terms with missing out on having your pick of houses this week and may remain unhoused for longer than you expect. There will not be another opportunity like this for quite some time.

"Quitter?" I scrimped and saved and waited for years in a small for an opportunity, any opportunity. I bid on every medium and large that cropped up to no avail.

When Dynamis opened I saw that opportunity and transferred immediately, seizing my dream personal mansion on Shiro 46 and starting a small FC that now lives in Lav11. I did not quit, I took what was there.

and you would be right on that, that screaming no matter how loudly we all want a restriction-less house won't necessitate implementation will become reality and i do appreciate you for making this information readily available to players who are new and might want to try this feature out or for those less fortunate who've waited more than what should be acceptable by a paying customer/consumer.

but thats why i feel so strongly about it, there shouldn't be any waiting, no restrictions on size or location, and everyone should be able to own/buy one regardless of their preferred server or server they want to share with their friends and build up a community on etc.

lets not hang up the towel just yet until they finally tell us it will never happen or they're too technically limited to make it work then i'd say GG we tried time to move on to better pastures an enjoy other things etc.

i have my own small plot an i am content with it but if a better option became available to me i'd happily hand over my small to someone who desires it or needs it would be nice if we could relinquish deeds to our friends/tenants.

perhaps you mistook what i meant by quitter, i'm sorry for the confusion let me try to explain, when i say that i mean it in the sense of just giving up on asking the developers to explore other means of house acquisition in favor for a system that would be more beneficial to all players not just the lucky few
you can still call it a pipe dream if you must but i want every player to enjoy this feature its fantastic maybe not the greatest in the world ofc but it still adds something extra to do and look at an or visit ingame other videogames of this caliber have achieved what i'm advocating for more or less so there is no excuse for why it can't be done here as well outside of maybe their infrastructure is worse off than we might think and can't handle or process that much weight but they've made no official comments otherwise so i don't think its an unreasonable request to be made until they just outright tell us themselves its not feasible or achievable which they have not so i'll continue to ask for it til then.

I don't think you should give up either, but I don't think that a thread that breaks down the info for people hopping ship to the new world in hopes of securing their homes is quite the right place for this. I would support a dedicated thread rallying your sentiment, but again, we must also do what we can within our circumstances until such time as things actually change. Your only guarantee is what you yourself decide to do next.

this^ and not to mention they are going to hard lock you from being able to purchase a house immediately so by the time you're able to even begin to start settling your feet on plot you may want and by then you're likely going to have to fight 5-10 other bidders and then hate yourself for transferring an ending up having to wait to see who was a bot/alt account abusing the system or just plain settle for a less than desirable location/plot size if you even get one at all for the first lotto round.
