This game has already gotten less ads from SE than XIII and XIII-2. Even if they started now it would still not be as much of a marketing push those games got.

Advertising the game goes against SE master plan of keeping the game secret from the rest of the world......

Good idea.

I think the OP idea is a good one. Another would be to target the FFXI audience, and perhaps send emails to those who have unsubscribed to the game.

When I was first playing this like close to 2 years ago I would tell all my friends that SE should hire Chuck Norris to do a funny ad...

Then WoW did it and I cried.

Yup, it'd be a good idea. I remember years ago hearing about a Metroid Prime commercial showing up in movie theaters. Before the lights go dark. The ad methods been around for a good while.
