For all you Eorzeans who are looking forward to having fun in the sun, our summer event is scheduled to kick off during the beginning of August, where everyone will be able to obtain stylish yukatas!

Unfortunately we will not be distributing the swimwear from last year’s summer event, but if you missed out on the previous event, our threads this year are second to none!

We had really wanted to provide the wallpapers that were so popular last year as well, but the development team is crunching really hard on version 2.0 preparations and had to put it off. Next year we are planning to do what we did for our previous event, so please look forward to this upcoming one as well as the future!

Will swimsuits be available during 2013's summer event?

What is so hard about releasing last years items? You did it with the easter event! This is quite disturbing. This is just laziness! If I had known then that you would be pulling this "you can't get it later" crap I would have actually logged on last summer just to get the item during that god awful F2P era.

Not to mention all the HIGH demand for the return of these items across ALL the forums! You need to at least be more detailed in the future about the availability of these items. Otherwise you are misleading.

Yeah! We can have ready check feature but no swim shorts! >.<

Yeah seriously...there was a really long thread of people wanting these. Is it really that hard to let us buy them from NPC or incorporate them like how you did with the Easter event? SE is frustrating me more and more lately. Well...good work. Yes...I mad.

So the real complaint here is not laziness, but the fact you refused to play to get it then and now you want it because you feel the game is worth playing? lol.

It's not hard to give an NPC the ability to dispense it, however that wasn't the plan they went with and we learned last year that this year there won't be swimsuits but Yukata/Kimono(both were mentioned but I recall Yukata being the confirmed one.)

This really isn't as big of a deal as you are making it out to be, they may release the old rewards in a future event judging by FFXI's numerous summer events, but even if they don't it's really not some huge miscarriage of justice. Calm the hell down

Says someone who probably already has her swimming trunks and feel 0 need for them because of this.

Its really easy for a rich person to say, "you know money doesn't make you happy, you just got to choose to be happy" to the poor man on the street corner.
